The self-guided stations at El Enigma de la Semilla are interpretive points located along the self-guided trail, designed for each visitor to learn about and explore the forest independently and at their own pace. These stops invite you to observe closely, reflect, and discover the secrets of the cloud forest ecosystem.

Tempisque Station

A Sanctuary for Sloths and Kinkajous

This majestic tree is not only a favorite feast for sloths, but also the home of the kinkajou (Potos flavus). This nocturnal and agile climber glides through the branches in search of nectar and fruit, using its prehensile tail to move with incredible dexterity. When night falls, the forest comes alive. With a little patience and luck, you might spot these elusive inhabitants in action. Keep your eyes wide open and let this enigma of nature surprise you!

Alas de Sable Platform

A Viewpoint Between Sky and Forest

Alas de Sable is a scenic viewpoint located between the dense forest and open areas. From this point, you can enjoy a wide view of the forest slopes and their surroundings. During the day, it is ideal for birdwatching and for appreciating the movement in the treetops. At night, it is possible to hear and, with a little luck, spot species like kinkajous and sloths. This space is designed for you to pause, observe calmly, and connect directly with the natural dynamics of the forest.
